Above link is where I started (or the wife in a panic) to save my turkeys. The response is amazing.

I have started my turkeys out with too low a protein level. Now some are starting to lose leg function. They are Mammoth Bronze from Mt. Healthy Hatcheries. Boiling eggs for the turkeys dinner tonight, then I am going to start the game feed along with the extra vitamins tomorrow. I will have some physical therapy to do on 2 of them so far, but I think they can pull through. I can post pictures if anyone wants to take a look.

Hello, again. This is where us turkeys hang out, welcome!

Some members have used ~20% with no problems. However, I'd still augment diet with crushed hard boiled eggs and mealworms. After the first three months turkeys do fine with lower protein levels.

Yep, crushed eggs and meal worms have never failed us. Hope your puny guys are improving, and no more are losing mobility. Whenever you have moths/etc. around outdoor lights don't leave them for the outdoor birds... One of our 2011 hatches went through about 2/3's as much 30% Gamebird Starter (as the same number would have without) owing to the flush of Cicadas that year:

I was able to get down to our local Co-op today and get some Game Bird Startena. Now off to the bait store for some mealworms.
