Songster
Hi this is joe ( the J in J&K ) and I am so excited to be part of this feathery and friendly community, on behalf of Katie (the K in J&K) I will introduce her birds...
Speckles: a silkie mix hen and the mother of Arya
Arya: a 4 week old bantam light Sussex chick
Sir Chicken Dipper the Grande: father to Arya and a bantam light Sussex rooster
Tweedle Dee and Dumb: our unknown species blue egg laying twins
Luna: the actual mother of Arya and a bantam light Sussex hen who loves to dig
Coco: a brown call duck with attitude and a dislike for speckles
Oreo: our largest duck, who LOVES water and doesn’t like to share
Emma: our call drake (when he was little we thought he was a she)
Ely: our feisty little call duck (who we thought was a boy)
Daisy: our smallest and most nervous duck
Jesse: our young booted bantam cockerel with a funny walk due to a bone injury when he was little
I do not currently have any birds, but by this time next year I should have some feathered friends of my own!!

Welcome to BYC. Gander to goose ratio depends upon the temperament of the individual birds. The strongest gander to goose pair bond is one to one, but most ganders will mate more than one goose.
