Hi,

My name is Andy, I am new to raising chickens. I currently have 6 Amberlinks and 4 Rhode Island Reds. I am doing this to keep me occupied on my days off. I got my birds this spring as chicks and have loved watching them grow. My question is how long before they start laying eggs? Any advice and tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

18 - 22 weeks is the average wait for eggs, it will seem like forever, but I promise it will go by quick.

You can post individual photos at "what breed or gender is this." It's very helpful if you mention age at time of photos. They should be able to get them sorted out.
