Im very new to this, my fiance and I just purchased our first home and we are planning on rasing a few chickens, some for eggs.. some for meat. Ive never experienced any kind of farm life or garden growing, so I have to learn quick! I have lots and lots of questions and can hopefully find some answers!

I am new as well. I have had chickens for 15 weeks. If you already love chickens you will indeed have fun. I love them very much. I got them from mcmurry, they were a day old born on fourth of july. i have found do what your heart tells you. I wish i would have had mine vaccinated so read up on that. I have red star and black, they have got a virus fowl pox or avian pox which could have been prevented. i hear that it is not for the most part deadly. I still love them , am lookin for eggs soon.
