Sometimes you get an obvious cockerel that early on (magenta or red comb already, already getting dangly wattles, etc). In your case, I wouldn’t call it yet. Straight comb breeds can look rooster-ish early on just because their combs stick up more.Thank for your response!! I appreciate your help! This is the same chick 1 week later. Yeah, that is just what I remember my french black copper maran looking like at that age. They are easy to sell if they are a rooster, but we'll have to wait and see.Perhaps a maran or olive egger.
