HI, my name is Amy and I live in the foothills of NC with my husband, Ray, two dogs, one cat and pretty soon 3 or 4 chickens.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes, very new to chickens as we have yet to get our first ones. We just completed construction on our chicken coop and my husband is starting on the run. Will post a pic when all is completed.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

(3) What breeds do you have?
We are thinking Rhode Island Reds...
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Just googled chickens on internet.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I make jewelry, my husband raises a huge garden and we are thinking of branching out into goats next year. Both me and my husband are disillusioned by factory farming and unethical treatment of animals. We are also concerned about the quality of food that is marketed in this country. We are both foodies and are into eating healthy.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband and I have been married since November 2012 and love to work on projects together. We have a chihuahua named Chester, a 30 pound brown dog named Swanson, and a grey Russian Blue cat named Smokey. We are animal lovers, nature lovers and Christians who love God :O)
