As well as yearning to be a fully-fledged chicken whisperer, I'm a maker, mender & textile artist sharing snippets of creativity and promoting wellbeing as @chalcraftdesign on instagram.
We're chicken newbies who've welcomed 8 hens and a beautiful rooster to our woodland garden (literally filling the nest left empty by the departure of grown up human offspring!). Mainly here to learn more and share some backyard chicken love with this great community. Our current obsession, 3 weeks in, is how to identify who is laying what as our girls start producing eggs. The eggcitment is intense hahaha.
