Howdy, everyone I am not a newbie to the whole chicken experience but am to the community and have been raising chickens for 6 years but am still learning how to be more efficient. Currently I’m raising 16 chickens (2 Light Brahma hens, 1 Partridge rock hen, 1 Black Jersey Giant hen, 2 Black star hens, 1 Olive egger hen, 2 Black Australorp hens, 1 Black split to Lavender Orpington hen, 4 Turken pullets, 1 Light Brahma cockerel, and 1 Buff Orpington cockerel) it’s a lot I know.
My favorite thing about raising chickens is the joy they bring when they run across the yard to greet me after a long day. I’m not all chicken though I like to hunt, and fish as well and I have a cat and a dog to take care of too.
Last paragraph I promise, I found this community about probably 3 years ago when I was researching more about my flock and finally decided to join after 3 years of wanting to respond but not being able too.
I can’t wait to get to know some of you and your flocks.
