I am a chicken lady from southern NH raising my second flock of egg laying spoiled rotten pet hens.
I raised my first flock of NH reds and RI reds until they were a year old and donated them to a local residential facility for at-risk youth to be used as therapy birds. They were so sweet, loving and well handled that they've been a joy to the residents ever since. I never realized that I would fall in love with them like I did, and as soon as spring sprung in NH I got my new flock, this time to keep for myself.
I've been lurking here for a long time and finally decided to get my own account and join in the community :)

!! My hats off to you for helping out in your community with your first flock. I'm sure you're experience with spoiling - err, I mean raising - chickens will be of great help here at BYC!
