Hello everyone! I’m a longtime lurker who finally decided to join. My family has about 30-40 ish chickens and 4 ducks, everyone has names of course! We have quite the hodgepodge of breeds everything from Rhode Island reds to Orpingtons to Andalusians to barnyard mixes! Some of our birds are special needs or ones with physical disabilities like Peanut Butter who has a breathing condition and also isn’t quite right in the head, or Uno who only has one eye or Rio who developed blindness in his right eye when he was a year old. Everyone here is loved and has their own special personality. I joined this forum to learn more about chicken health and how to treat certain ailments and just to interact with others who enjoy chickens.

I think it's wonderful that all of your chickens are loved and have names (I have 27 and people are always asking me if they are named. Of course they are!) and that you care of the special ones. Me, too.
