Hi I'm Mj, aka Eggplant Mamma. I have been a stalker of BYC for a few months. I have so many questions and after lots of stalking, I'm confident this is the right place to get the answers❣
Let me go first tho
,
1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I became a new chicken mom on 2/28/20.❤
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 3 chickens; 2 hens (I think), and 1 rooster.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Not 100% certain, but I believe my rooster is a White Cochin (Luna Roo) and my hens are are, a Barred Plymouth Rock (Bobí) and a White Yokohama (Clumsí). I have added their pictures in the order I described them.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
So far, watching them grow to have their own personalities and character.
Oh, and of course I am looking forward to the egg hunt every morning.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I enjoy cycling, running, gardening, sewing, woodworking, and did I mention Chickens. lol
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My family is my whole world. I have a WONDERFUL husband, beautiful daughter, 2 gorgeous grandchildren and a dachshund. I am happily retired from a Senior Corporate Consultant for Nursing Homes.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC when searching for information about my new chicks (so I thought at the time).
I finally joined because BYC, always seemed to be the place I'd find the answers to my questions. Now my questions are specific to my flock, and this is the only place to be...❤
