Hello Folks! My husband and I are new to chickens and anticipate getting 5 or 6 this weekend from the local farm and home store! We are currently prepping by building a coop (from scratch) for our Buff Orpingtons. My sister-in-law told me about this site and how helpful the forums have been in raising her ducks.

Some of our other hobbies include small DIY improvement projects around our home we purchased in Jan 2017, Ranger rides with our two dogs (a Rat Terrier, Littles; and a Jack Russell, Sissy), and helping out with the family farm (cattle).

Oh, if you haven't done so already, PLEASE put at least your general location in your profile. It could be very important if/when you ask for or offer help or advice.
