Hello Chickenless until next year

Hi and welcome to BYC :frow We're so happy you've decided to join us :ya
Think about getting 3 or 4 that way you're covered if you get the unintended cockerel or something happens to one of them.
Thank you.
I originally only wanted one. I since learned that's not good to do at all. I'm hoping to just have two. No roosters, fingers crossed. Should I lose one, I will get another. This is of course if I buy thru my nephews connections, otherwise I will have too get at least 3.

4 ft.² per bird inside, and double that outside ( 10 ft.² because it’s easier math!). Chicken math happens, so build for twice as many as you think you want.
Goat math happens...

Thank you.
Oh soooo cute animal pics. Did the goats and ducks years ago. Horses, pig, chickens, rabbits, cats, birds, and fish years ago too. Raised and showed dogs also. Never got too have a cow. Those pictured are adorable. Now I have tortoises and lizards and one dog.
Your chicken measurements are the exact ones I'm using. I will probably have more space per hen but not less.
