Hi I am a proud mama to 2 RIR hens 1 White Leghorn hen 1 EE hen and then a EE roo. I lost 2 leghorns as chicks-one drowned and other got very sick. I lost a RIR last night to merek's

and last but not least a lost a EE hen cause one of the RIR pecked her... and you can probably figured out the rest.

Awww. What sad stories. There's always more and more chickens to come by however. I hope you recoop (no pun) another flock soon because chickens are great. We also have two Rhode Island Reds and one of them had its foot fall off when it was a chick. We call her stubby now. She's pretty high up on the pecking order and fares well amidst all the other two legged chickens. Good luck and keep us all up to date on how everything turns out for you. Talk to you later...Angela (dsquawker)
