(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

I have been around chickens for about 20 years. I have my own chickens now for the past 3 years. I have many kinds, but want to get some Silkies.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

I have about 40

(3) What breeds do you have?

Leg Horns, Orphingtons, Easter Eggers, and many more. 4 Turkeys, and 8 Pekin ducks

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?

Listening to them talk, when they come running, half flying to me when I yell "come on mamas"

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

I have 3 horses, whom I am giving refresher courses. They are all rescues.
I paint houses, inside and out.
I am crafty, DIY stuff, build cupboards..

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I am 53 years old. I have 5 children, 3 grandchildren. I live in WI. I have 4 dogs and 3 cats.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?

I found you by doing a Google search on why my male turkey was trying to court me.
