(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D

We "inherited" most of our birds, acquired 7 ourselves, and hatched the chicks. Found the site after our hens started getting broody and one of our little chicks was having some issues but is on the mend now thanks to some info we found here! Seems like a great place to share info and tips!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
Did you hatch under a broody or in an incubator?
A broody. Well, several broodies, lol. It's been a bit challenging lately.

We have a muscovy that's been stealing chicken eggs and 3 hens have been sitting with her at a time. Just moved mama #2 out with a new chick today and another hopped right into the nest. There's still about a dozen eggs there.

We are getting an incubator soon as some added insurance for unexpected situations. We're finding it doesn't take much sometimes for things to go wrong with broodies and our hens are all new moms.
