Hello Everybody!
My name is Emma and I live in Kansas. My husband and I are proud first-time chicken owners, though we have been researching chickens for years! I've been invited to come chat on this forum. I'm also active on several mouse fancier forums and moderate one.
I have 7 pullets currently. They still have a few chickie feathers.
1) Salmon faverolle, Sweetie. She loves to leap into my arms for hugs. I'm quite enamored of her!
2) Black pearl faverolle, Peck. She has a dominant personality. Peck first, ask questions later!
3) Mahogany faverolle, Neck. She has some extremely long proportions! Why?
4,5,6) Yet un-named "easter eggers"
7) Lace, a Seabright (totally frivolous purchase, but a looker)
I am so excited to meet everyone on here. I want to learn about organic feeding options, and meet other Faverolle owners. I've become quite passionate about them in the short time I've kept them. I wish my whole flock was Faverolles!!!
We are also interested in building our own coops from salvaged materials. My husband built the girls a "Pullet Pen" that I can't wait to show off!

I forgot to mention! We are raising these girls for eggs. I've been a vegetarian for almost a decade and I already promised them that I wouldn't ever eat 'em.
