Just want to say hi to everyone on BYC. I have been following (lurking or stalking as my wife calls it) the forum for a couple of months and never realized the popularity of chickens. We live in a small town in east Tn. on about 50 acres for the last 27 years. We have had chickens in the past(Bramas,RIR,EE and White Rocks) but do to both of us working and just the everyday grind I have not had any for quite some time. Now that we are both retired it's time to get back into it again! This time I want to do it right or at least better than before. I have learned a lot of valuable info so far from this most interesting site. I am in the process of building a new coop but the weather here as with the rest of the country has not been very favorably for outside work,although I do have the floor and framing completed. Have been taking pictures of the progress and will try to post them when the job gets done. We also have 2 Brittanys hence the ID name. They are the best dogs we have ever owned. They are undoubtedly our babies. Well enough of the rambling, thanks for all of the good info and the good people on this site.
