Hello everyone from Poulet Belle!

Hello! I just joined Backyard Chickens and wanted to introduce myself to everyone on the site. We are a small farm around 20 minutes north of Indianapolis in a small town called Lebanon. We got into raising birds around 2 years ago when we purchased a few RIR's hens from Tractor Supply (only to all turn out to be roos). We quickly got addicted to raising chickens and expanded our farm by gutting, repairing, and retrofitting a 150 year old barn to support raising our birds. We pride ourselves in giving our birds a beautiful and clean home, with plenty of land to peck over and protection from outside predators (which we have way too many of). Today we are presently working with Purdue University to get NPIP certified and participate in letting classes from Purdue come to our farm to learn about our poultry.










I joined this site because I wanted to have the opportunity to talk with other poultry enthusiasts, and help find a good home for some of our birds. I look forward to speaking with everyone and great day!

Thanks @sumi! I am actually building a little version of the barn to house some of our Pumpkin Hulseys. I threw some Bresse in there to see what it looked like with birds in it -- which they are way to big for (and were moved out pretty quickly).
