Hello Folks!,
My husband surprised me today as an early Birthday present to me with 6 Baby Chicks! You have no idea the excitement I had! I have talked about wanting to raise chickens for sometime but I was not taken seriously and turns out my husband was listening! I got to pick them all out we have 6 Barred Plymouth's so far we have names then The colonel, Elvis, Churches, Fritatta, Henrietta and Penelope. We made and brood out of a clear Rubbermaid container, cut a square out and zip lined some chicken wire on top to keep pest out and lined the bottom with paper and pine shavings. They are only 2 weeks now and now we are in the process of deciding where to put the coop in the yard so we can have a good size run for them. Any tips or advice on coops or runs is greatly appreciated!
