Hello everyone I have 3 hens and am thinkin of getting more any advice

Hello I have 3 hens that I got last July I was thinking of getting some baby chicks to keep indoors till they get bigger then was wondering if i could mix them with the hens that I already have but I am not sure if the older ones would pick on the new comers any advice welcome as i am new to all this thanks for listening
