hello everyone i just joined this site trying to learn about chickens

I got the leghorns from a place that has thousands of chickens they sell the eggs until the chicken lays out I'm told and then they sell the chickens to the plants to be to in the grocery .
I have never seen a place like this but these poor chickens are not well. Do you know anything about these places. I talked to the man who sold me my other chickens and he said they
had summer colds and he told me what type of antibiotic to give them. This was 2 weeks ago they are better but not well my other chickens seem fine and are growing.
