I've seen your site every so often when looking for chicken info and thought it's about time I join. I love my chicken girls!!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I've had chickens for about 8 years now, and every couple of years I add 2-3 as some of my girls end up in the "soup pot"
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I currently have 8 girls but it does fluctuate but not by much as my coop isn't that big. The girls do seem to get along well though.
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have 2 Barred Rocks, 2 Buff Orphingtons, 2 Ameraucanas, a White chicken - I have no idea what she is, but she lays brown eggs, and another that lays bluish green eggs that look nothing like my Ameraucanas
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Searching for chicken info on the net and reading your site once in a while
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Oh boy do I have hobbies, LOL, I knit, crochet, sew, quilt, paint decorative items including rocks for sale, I also bead Christmas ornament covers and hat/head bands. I do manage to read too!!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm a single Grandmother of 3 adult Grandkids, 2 ladies and a Sailor. I have a cat, and my girlfriend staying with me has 2 and fortunately they all get along. I just adopted Waldo on Nov 1. A very loving senior guy. I've been retired for 11 years and still don't have enough time to do everything I love to do, but I just plod along and things eventually get done.
