I am new to having chickens. A few weeks ago my daughter found three chickens near our home that seemed to be abandoned. We tried to find where they may have came from but they were found in our remote area by a wildlife refuge. So now I have Chickens! I have always wanted chickens but I couldn't pull the trigger on getting them. My daughter went and got four more chicks and so we have 7. I was gone several states away and came home to these adorable chicks. I can't even explain how much joy they bring me. I am truly winging it but have been following BYC on FB for a few years and I have been doting on them now that I have my very own. I have them in an enclosed coop with a small attached brooding run in my front room. I am creating an outside run as well. My children and husband love them and they are incredibly entertaining.
