Hello BYC,
I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to everyone. My name is DeAnna and I am new to chicken ownership. I got my first chicks this year the week before Easter and have been hooked since. Now incuding the 4 ducks we have we own a total of 60 birds and I am picking up 4 more on Fri. We also own 4 horses, 6 dogs, 8 cats and a rat and a rabbit with 2 more rabbits for my daughter for 4H on the way.
I am still learning alot about chickens and breeds and have been doing alot of reading on them so I may have questions I hope some of you can answer when they pop up. I look forward to getting to know and talk to you and learning about your birds and the breeds everyone has.
Also if anyone happens to have or know of where to get lavender Ameraucanas please let me know. I know of one breeder in MN and he wont be hatching anymore until March. I will take day old chicks, young pullets or even hatching eggs for the lavenders if possible because I really dont want to wait until March to get some chicks.
