We are Seth and Vanessa, and we are new chicken owners! We have been raising our brood for just over a month now. Currently we have 4 Barred Rocks pullets, two Easter Eggers (we believe one B/W pullet and one partridge cockerel?), a Silver Wyandotte pullet, a BuffOrp pullet, and a Welsummer cockerel (we believe)!
We are super excited at the aspect of having even a fraction more of independence in knowing where our food comes from and are really enjoying socializing with our birds and gaining their trust!

We both love being outdoors, whether it be hiking/camping, and fishing; or at home working on our garden.

We also have 3 cats, a dog, an aquarium, and Vanessa's whole rainforest of tropical plants! We look forward to getting to know everyone and learn about your experiences!

@SilverBirds its funny you mention that, I was just about too. Here's some of the crew, including our biggest chicken, Summit! We feel fairly confident the Welsummer is the cockerel, but we are a bit unsure about the Easter Eggers! I'll post them below seperarely. Here's the SL-Wyandotte, BuffOrp, and the Welsummer (2 pictures)

Heres the E-Eggers....we think the partridge-color is a cockerel? The white and black is a bit of a mystery...one of the oldest and biggest ones in our group but is developing so much more slowly than the rest...

The middle one does also look like a cock as it has a lot of comb. Not entirely sure what the white one is. It reminds me of my Delaware but maybe someone who knows their breeds better then me can help.
