Hi everyone!
My name is Deby, and I live in Northern California. I have about 1/3 of an acre in my backyard that needs chickens! I've had chickens as pets since I was 7 y/o, and as an adult, but haven't had them for about 10 years! I've been missing them in my life and particularly loved my Americauna Black Hens. So now at 60-something, I am getting back into it, ordering black, lavender, and white Americaunas. I figured I can breed blues and splashes out of these birds, if I choose. I am only getting a dozen birds and they don't come until July 4!! In the meantime, I am getting a dozen fertile eggs from a friend and see about hatching them in a new incubator. I will only keep a few, and sell whatever is hatched that I don't feel will fit in with the flock. So I am excited to be here and thank you for reading my story!
