Hello fellow chicken lovers

On my way to pick up (6) day old sex links. I very excited to start this adventure in my life & want to do the right thing. This site seems to really be a home run & you all seem extremely caring & helpful. So much info. Would like to also raise them as pets not just for eggs. We're vegetarians but thought that eggs was a great way to add protein to our diet. Looking forward to checking in.

The Learning Center and your state threads are great places to start. And CTKen is right (but don't tell him that, lol)...the members here are great and always willing to help each other out.

My chickens are also pets and they are great ones at that. Each one has it's own personality and quirks. It's been very rewarding to watch them grow and develop...I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine.
