I have had chickens for most of my adult life, but after moving around a lot I was away from the farm life for about 10 years. Got back into it about 8 years ago, starting with 1 Cochin Bantam rooster.
Right now I'm down to 60 chickens, in 5 pens and 2 smaller coops. Pen 1 is Buff Orpingtons. Pen 2 is a pair of Ayam Cemani and 2 Australorp hens. Pen 3 is my 10 X 20 pen with a mixture; Cuckoo Maran rooster(who will be going in another pen soon with the 2 hens), a CMxRIR roo, and 16 hens, RIR SLW, CQ, BR,SF, and a mix of these breeds. Pen 4 is my Cream Legbar roo with 2 Cuckoo Maran hens and one beautiful , black Olive egger. Then there's the coop on legs with my momma guinea and my EE Bantam, who together hatched 4 guinea babies. lol Pen 5 is my gorgeous Americaunas. The coop 2 is my hatch from a couple months ago, 2 BO, 1 Cuckoo Maran/Barred Rock mix and 4 Americaunas. Then I have a blue Silky roo, Amer. roo, and 2 Sizzle roos free ranging. A huge eagle ate my male guinea on Saturday morning.

I love gardening, quilting and I make porcelain dolls.
I live on my small chicken farm with my husband, 2 dogs, 4 cats, all my birds and a small pond with Koi and Plecosthemous. I have 4 adult daughters, 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren with 1 more on the way! I have a very full life!!!

That's quite a flock you have there, so sorry to hear about the eagle
