Hello Fellow Chicken Lovers,
I'm Josie, I live in rural South Australia and I am relatively new to keeping chickens. I have a small flock of old girls (Sussex) whom I adopted after my neighbour moved away, and I have some araucana's, leghorns, and some other breeds thrown in for good measure, about 50 all together and they are all lovely, but it is my future intention to be a bit more circumspect in my breeding program, ie: I intend to have a breeding program! But I am not decided on which breeds I wish to breed yet, I am still getting familiar with the many breeds available and still in the process of building coop number 2, with ideas for improving coop number 1... there is a lot to do!
I am interested in chicken nutrition - how to keep chickens in prime health - and how to keep them happy in general.
I have a small incubator, and hatching eggs never grows old - I find chickens endlessly fascinating, and after spending so much time browsing and researching on this website I decided that it was time to join as a fully fledged member.
Thanks for reading my introduction

Thank you Kenneth - just looked on the map of America to locate you! My Daughter read a book recently called "The Children's Blizzard" - based on a real weather event that happened back in 1800's - near Omaha, which was very interesting ( and quite sad because pioneering life was hard ) - and I see that you are right in the middle of America - in Prarie Country? Thank you for your welcome!
