Hello fellow chicken lovers!!

Hello everyone. My name is Christine (Chris) I'm a nurse in Davie FL. I am new to keeping backyard chickens. I have always lived in apartments or condos and when my fiancée and I bought a house with an acre lot I told him one day... I want chickens!! I started with a small coop with 2 chickens 6 months ago and now I have a large coop with 9 hens and a rooster my small original coop has 2 young chickens and I have 4 chicks in the house and am incubating 9 for the first time. I am officially hooked!! I love my birds!! I have 3 buff Orpington 6 cinnamon queens and one barred rock. I'm not sure what my 2 younger ones are. Then my chicks are 2 buff Orpington and 2 wellsummers. My puppy is finally learning not to chase them and they just started laying a week ago. All aren't laying yet though. I think only 2 are. I love coming on BYC and getting advice from people's posts so I figured I would become a member!!
