I first got chickens in 2012, and as of now I still have one hen from my first batch!
I don't really know how many chickens I have exactly, but it's between 60-80.
The breeds I have are Ameraucanas, RI reds, naked necks, silkies, cochins, booted bantams, wyandottes, welsummers, california whites, easter eggers, appenzeller spitzhaubens, olive eggers, salmon faverolles, and all sorts of hybrids!!
I love to observe my chickens' behavior and have been working on "translating" chickens' speak.
I am also a casual artist, and volunteer at a parrot rescue.
I also have a dog, a cat, three rabbits, a gecko, 5 budgies, 7 fish, and a snail.
I have known about BYC for years, and finally got around to joining!
