Hello! My name is Courtney and I have been snooping around this site for months now. Today i finally decided to make an account.
All my life i grew up near chickens, but now i've just started raising them on my own! I am 21yrs old and living with my parents right now while i go through college.

I have 26 chickies. A lot more than I thought I would start with!
I starred with 15: 10 bantams and 5 cochins. They are now 2-4 weeks old (not 100% sure without looking at dates) and this past weekend got 11 more newborns: 5 wyandottes, 2 silver laced, 2 gold laced, and 2 road island reds.

I hope to learn a lot from everyone and as i raise my first very own chicks. Thanks for letting me introduce myself!

I will post pics soon if anyone is interested!

Here is the future coop! Right now it is empty, but with a little more work it will be ready for them.

And here is the front of the shed that the coop is inside. Im hoping to eventually get some space for a few geese and sonewhere for the future mother hens! :)

cluckcluckgirl, I have just been doing a TON of research over the past few months (mainly always ending up on this site). I am pretty chicken crazy right now!

I just love watching them . I can sit and watch them for an hour without realizing it because they are so cute and act of silly.

Yeah, time really flies when you're with your chickens. It's some of the best entertainment I've ever seen!
