I’m brand new to the world of chickens and when Hubby gave the green light I jumped in quick - before he could change his mind! 
I purchased my chicks at my local Agway and a local feed mill. I have 16 total, two each of the following breeds:
Plymouth Rock
Light Brahman
Rhode Island Red
Cinnamon Queen
Black Maran
Dark Brahman
Americana
Blue/Gold Wyandotte
I’m in love! I actually sit in their coop just to hear them talk to me. They are all named either from Bob’s Burgers or Gilmore Girls.
I’m a wife and mom and I’m my spare time a professor of environmental biology and chemistry as well as wildlife management. I love my family and the outdoors. I was a park ranger for the US Park Service for 12 years. Miss it daily but missed family time more.
