I'm new to BYC. I live way down in Homestead, and have a small flock of Gold Lace Wyandottes. My goal is to become self-sufficient in meat and eggs, and perhaps sell some eggs and chicks when we get rolling. I built an incubator which holds up to 11 or 12 eggs at a time, and so far has successfully hatched three small batches of chicks, so I think we're off to a good start.
I would love to learn about any local shows or chicken events, and am also keen to acquire some Araucanas and Black Copper Marans, if anyone knows of breeders in the area.
