I have 4, 2.5 week old babies. One of them a red laced Wynadotte is not hanging out with the others. She is eating, drinking, pooping and doesn't seem to have any visible injuries. She just lays alone while the others explore. They will come over to her and snuggle sometimes, but she doesn't seem to be running around with the flock.

Should I be concerned about her health??

Thanks!

She is not overly sleepy, One chick seems to be picking on her a bit because she is an easy target, very docile.

First time chicken mama here, I got 8 chicks from a swap meet this weekend.
One of them is doing the same thing, so I'm subscribing to see what folks say about your chick. I've seen her eat and drink so I think that's going ok They're getting the medicated chick starter and 'save-a-chick' in their water. She's active when the whole bunch is stirred up about something but otherwise, she keeps pretty much to herself. She's the easiest to catch and will just sit in my hand when I put her back - the others hop right out and run back to their buddies.
I'm just dying to get home and check on her!

Question - I saw where someone on another post was talking about a chick not 'thriving' and someone asked if it was getting enough to eat and said to check and see if it's crop was full. That's something I've wondered this weekend. I hold them several times a day, trying to get them used to it, and I don't notice any sort of lump or bulge. Where is the crop and what does a healthy baby's full crop feel like??????
