Hello! First time chick mama from NJ

Hello! After much research and checking my town's code we decided to raise chicks. We got four Rhode Island Reds that were two day old on 6/9/17.

We stumbled upon Backyardchickens.com when we had many questions from caring for chicks to creating the coop.

These are our only pets! We have two daughters, 11 and 16 who help care for them. They have named them, Wednesday , Summer, Robin and Margarita.

It's been very rewarding and glad to have access to so much information on this site! Nice to meet you!
