Hello officially, BYC! I come here all the time for answers (thank you all, what a godsend!) and created an account a while back, but I've always felt shy about participating in forums. Since the community here is so awesome, I decided it's time to try and get over my fears. So here are some facts about me!

I live in the PNW and am owned by 15 ducks:
- 3 Cayugas, including one gentlemanly drake (yes I know how lucky I am!) and two lovely ladies
- 3 feisty and fearless white layer hybrids
- 3 Pekins, 2 of which are fairly anonymous and one that is my favourite old soul
- 6 very sassy and gossipy Silver Appleyard tweens

This is my first time raising ducks or any type of bird, and I got my first batch (along with the addiction) in June 2020. The Appleyards arrived this past December. It's only a matter of time until I need my next fix. Saxonies, perhaps? Buffs? Both? Duck math? More like duck meth.

My favourite thing about having ducks is simply enjoying them for who they are, and how much they happily embrace just being ducks. They love to eat! They love to swim! They love even more to splash! They love the mud! They love making mud! They love digging through the mud they made! They're clumsy messy clowns who waddle happily through life, and I can appreciate that (and relate to it a little too well).

When I am not serving my feathered overlords, I'm spoiling the doggy furricane: my loveable mix who acts more like a cross between a monkey and a cat, and a complete dufus of a Belgian Malinois, who loves his duckies almost as much as his momma does. I also enjoy gardening and writing algorithms. I would write one for duck/chicken math, but I'm pretty sure you all already know it.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this community. Cheers and love!
