Hello From Alabama

I will be a new chickeneer soon. My wife and I will be closing on a 10 acre spot of dirt. The first thing i will do is put chickens. I( have been wanting chickens for about 2 yrs now, but scared to put them in my backyard. I just cant wait. I have been reading for a long time on chickens so I believe we will be ready for them.

I think I am going with the cornish rocks for meat and the black Australorps for eggs and resale. and maybe throw a few other oletime favorites.

My inlaws have a place on Weiss. We go to the flea market I think in Collinsville. My question is what all is for sale in the animal part of the flea market? They never let me go in the back half.
