Hi everyone! I'm glad I found this board. I've been reading some of the posts for the past couple of days and now I decided to join because BOY, I sure do got some learning to do....LOL
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chickens. I got my first chickens yesterday.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 4 in all....2 roosters and 2 hens
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have 1 Rhode Island Red rooster and 2 Rhode Island Red hens and 1 of those roosters...whatever the kind of hen has the pretty colored eggs like easter eggs, but of course I know the rooster doesn't lay an egg...lol
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
On Google trying to learn more about my new chickens
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
spending time with my son (almost 10) and hubby, fishing, camping
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My hubby and I have been married almost 12 years and we have a son that is almost 10.
We have 3 dogs (a min pin, the min pin's daughter which is mixed with a chiauahua (sp?), and a mixed breed dog that's part boxer which is a rescue from the humane society several years ago), 2 cats (one that is around 20 years old).
I'm a stay-at-home-mom/homemaker.
