WELCOME TO BYC. Now you need to determine if you want to raise chickens for eggs, meat, pets, or a combination. Also do you want to breed and hatch chicks. You need to determine how much room you have for a coop and a run or will the chickens be free range. I will gladly help you as much as i can, Ive been raising chickens most of my life and have hatched thousands of them so i might be able to give you a few pointers.

Thanks! We have read and have a drawing of our coop it's about 46 sq ft we have 9 chicks so I think that will be large enough. We don't plan to hatch any, just use he eggs at this point. I have realized a lot goes into this so it's been a learning experience! I was just reading to make sure the size of the nest, and I am sure I will have tons of egg questions next! Lol thanks again so much! You sound like a FL fan! Lol
