I don't have any chickens yet. I've been trying to talk my husband into getting some hens for quite awhile. I bought a couple of good chicken books & now he's interested, too. I am really interested in some of the heritage breeds like Dominiques (they were my grandmother's favorite). She always talked about how gentle they were & that they were good layers. We used to get fresh eggs from my husband's co-worker, but she moved away.
My husband & I both love gardening & cooking & we also have honeybees. The only "livestock" we have are my cats.
I may not post a lot to begin with, but trust me, I will be around! I hope to learn from all of you experienced hands out there.
