Hello from AZ!

Hi! I am a newbie here, too! I'm in Scottsdale, AZ and have plunged into the world of backyard chickens! I am a mom to 4 (soon to be 5) wonderful children...the oldest is 5, almost 6. And, no, no multiples! I have been blessed to be able to stay at home with the children, 3 dogs, and six chickens. (the fish died this morning). I have been equally blessed to have a wonderful, loving, and VERY understanding husband who also happens to be pretty handy. He built our coop and run for Mothers Day. I run my husband's company and homeschool the kiddos. We have 1 Buff Orpington, 1 Production Red, 3 Ameraucanas, one Black Copper Marans. Wish us luck! (we've already had a sharp learning curve when we lost a few to various "elements"!)

I love AZ.. I used to live there for 4 years while my daughter was at Mayo. I worked at CK on 32ndst. and thunderbird for 3 years. I miss the weather, i freeze up here in Ely Mn lol..
