Hi all,
My name is Jessica. I'm working towards becoming a certified Equine Therapy Instructor, and obtaining my BSW in Social Work. I hope to incorporate animal-assisted therapy into my practice, and am overly happy to be apart of the farming community in any capacity!
My partner and I just recently bought a small hobby farm with 5acres; both of us were raised in a rural/sustainable atmosphere and we're really excited to have a place to call our own where we can get back to our roots. We're slowly dipping our toes in the homesteading 'game,' and our first step was chickens. Currently we have a Black Copper Maran hen & roo (Bolo & Henrietta), and three black Australorps (The Girls), I'm hoping to add some Blue, Lavender & Splash Marans and Orpingtons into the mix very soon!
