Hello from Buzzards Bay

I'm almost, but not quite, on Cape Cod. Three years ago and completely out of the blue, I told my wife that I wanted to get some chickens and she said "whatever." A month and a half ago, she came home from work to find a make-shift brooder with 11 chicks on a table in the family room. I don't think she took me seriously. I'm almost finished with the coop and run, they're living in it during construction. I've been lurking here for the past few months and have benefitted enormously from all the information. Thank you to everybody for asking questions and giving answers. I hope, in time, I can share something relevant.
