Hello from California broody hens

Welcome to BYC! I find if my hens are broody I just remove the eggs right away because eggs just encourage broodiness. When a hen is full on broody they will discontinue laying but the other hens however will continue to lay eggs in the nest which encourages the broody one to sit. When I cant get a broody hen to give it up, I put her in a separate or different cage without nesting boxes and that usually does the trick after a few days she forgets about it.
