Hi thanks for adding me to this awesome group. I’ve never been a member of a chicken group before so I’m super excited to be here. I have Serama chickens and I’ve had them for about 5 yrs. I started with a rooster as a pet, ya I know crazy. Lol. Anyway I got him 2 girlfriends and it began. I let them each hatch a clutch of eggs and we had babies. Unfortunately that’s when the predators also came. I lost my 2 original hens and some of the babies once they were adults. So we got a coop and it’s been working pretty well. I let the chickens out during the day and back in at nite. Right now there’s 4 hens, my original old rooster, 3 chicks in the coop, 3 chicks in the house and a rooster in the rabbit barn. I also raise show rabbits. I definitely have way more rabbits then I do chickens. Who knows that may change. I don’t work anymore, I’m on disability so I have more time for my animals. I also have 3 dogs, 3 cats and 3 parakeets and a parrot. I spend a lot of time taking care of these guys. I joined this group because I’ve never really had any problems with my chickens before but this last clutch I had a chick hatch that is pretty wobbly. It’s almost like she’s drunk. She can walk but she falls over sometimes. I’m hoping to get some advice and just learn more about chickens in general. But all in all I’m grateful to be here and get to talk chicken so thank you.
