1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I'm a crazy chicken lady in training. I've kept quail for years but it seems its a gateway poultry and we got our first flock last year of chickens.

Silkies, Icelandic landrace, Barred Rock, Azure Blue Hybrids and Bielefelders
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
The joy it brings my family and friends!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Horses, wood toy making, fine art and graphic art design
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Family of 3... A doctor, a teacher/artist (me), a one year old daughter who lovers her animals: chickens, quail, saltwater fish, two bengals, a husky GSD cross.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Google... original but I've found so many valuable info and thought I'd officially join this wise and welcoming community.
