My name is Tom Cusick, Along with my Wife, Michelle, and Dog, Dougal, we are raising 9 hens and one Rooster. We have just recently purchased 2 more chicks to go along with our single hatchling, Little "2.0" (yes that is its name). And we also purchased 2 turkeys chicks (Thanksgiving and Christmas).
We are just a year into raising our chickens and we enjoy it very much... it is such a wonderful and great learning experience.
Sadly we will be loosing our Rooster, as he has become to aggressive and is ripping and terrorizing the rest of the flock. Not to mention he will not let my wife into the Coop without attacking her relentlessly.
Our Mature Flock consists of 2 Road Island Reds, 2 Araucana, 2 Silver Laced Wyandotte, 2 Buff Orpington, 1 Buff Wyandotte, 1 Silver Laced Wyandotte Rooster.
Our Month old chicks consist of 1 Silver Laced Wyandotte (appears to be at least) ("2.0"), 1 Foghorn (I say, Foghorn) Leghorn, 1 New Hampshire Red, and 2 Turkeys (Thanksgiving is mottled grey and black, and Christmas is pure white)...
