Hello from central Texas

Hi I just wanted to say I love this website and the questions and answers are all great too. I am a new mom of 27 chicken and we think three roosters. They are only 8 weeks right now. I don't know yet what breed they are as we bought the "rainbow collection" from McMurray Hatchery. So it is a wait and see game. We did order one red star rooster but think we also got two white leghorns roosters for free. My husband thinks I am just a little paranoid about everything but I just love my chickens. We have 5 acres and this is one farm animal I can deal with. we have 2 horses and three goats but I am just a little scared of them I am a city girl thats just learning the country life right now. We also have 6 dogs and 5 cats. Oh and I nearly forgot 4 kids two are grown one navy and one a navy wife and the two boys are 12 and 13 and a hand full. Anyway this is getting longer than it should so again just wanted to say HI and I LOVE MY CHICKENS. Rusty

Thanks and yes it is kind of hot right now. my chickens are panting like crazy but even though they have a run they hide in the coop go figure.
